Looking for and using a care service

If you, a member of your family, or someone you know is using a registered care service now, or may need to use one in the future, the National Care Standards contain lots information on what a service must do or provide to make sure that you experience a good quality service and know what to expect.

We inspect all registered care services in Scotland.  Inspection reports can be viewed in our care services list or using the information request form.   Our inspections are graded making them more targeted and focused more on people who use services, and their carers. Watch our DVD or read our leaflet for more information.

We work closely with everyone who provides a care service, as well as professional organisations, local authority and other government agencies to achieve improved care for everyone in Scotland.

We always want to hear from people who use services and anyone who has an interest in care.  If you would like to get involved with our work go to our Have your say section.
