Regulations and Orders
Due to the great range of care services available and the varying needs of the service users, it is not possible for the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001 (The Act) to set out the detailed provisions needed to safeguard the interests of care service users. It is for this reason that the Act gives Scottish Ministers powers to make regulations, which are:
- Regulations on requirements for care services
- Regulations on registration
- Regulations on applications and advice
- Commencement Orders
- Other applicable sets of regulations
